Ocimene

Ocimene

Ocimene is an acyclic monoterpene that exists as two isomers (alpha-ocimene and beta-ocimene). The beta isomer also has two stereoisomers (trans-beta-ocimene and cis-beta-ocimene). Some labs have begun testing for these terpenes individually, while others group them. Due to its pleasant aroma, ocimene is often used in perfumes. It is touted for its euphoric effects without overwhelming psychoactivity.
