THC in CT Concentrates
Concentrates reached their peak potency in 2022. SInce the legalization of Adult-Use cannabis, concentrates have been averaging lower poptency as growers focus on newer types such as moon rocks, keif, and hash. Typically, extracted concetrates average the higher potencies and were much more poplular in rpevious years.
Terpene Profiles in CT Concentrates
Similar to vape profiles, concentrate profiles can be complex, including a larger variety of terpenes and higher concentrations. The final concentrate cprofile depends on two things:
The initial yield of the product to be extracted
The extraction method used
Concentrate products in CT first began being tested for 10 main terpenes. In 2021, producers began to expand their testing for more terpenes. Over the years, we have also seen an increase in the types of vape oils filled into cartridges. The concentrate market is full of various extracts and oil types.
Butane Hydrocarbon Oil (BHO)
Terpene Distillate (TD)
Cured Resin (CRE)
Live Resin (LR, RE)
Rosin (RO)
Crumble (CR)
Badder (BA)
Budder (BD)
Bubble Hash (BH)
Ice Water Hash (IWH)
Moon Rocks (MR)
Sugar (SG)
Terp Sauce (TS)
Terp Sugar (TSG)
These oils are created by various extraction methods, which can be explored in the Concentrate Guide.
As always, the final variable is how you vaporize and consume the product, which can be explored in the Vape Guide.
